This two-year programme is designed for students who are serious about building a future in the sport and physical activity industry. It provides a dynamic mix of practical training and academic study, helping you gain valuable, real-world experience in coaching, sport science, and performance analysis.
You are able to combine A Levels with this programme.
Course Structure
The course is delivered over two years:
Year 1: Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity
Year 2: Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity
Year 1 Modules Include:
- Careers in Sport
- Sports Coaching
- Sporting Performance and Analysis
- Physical and Mental Health
- Introduction to Sports Science
Throughout the course, you’ll develop essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours relevant to the sport and fitness industry. Learning is hands-on and industry-focused, with opportunities to apply your training in real coaching and performance settings every week.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 4 – 9 including English and maths
Progression
Following the course, you can progress into higher-level courses, such as the Level 4 Sport Business in Enterprise, or a U.S scholarship leading to careers as a PE teacher, sports coach, sports analyst, strength and conditioning coach, sports therapist or self-employed coaching business.
