T Level in Health (Nurse Cadets)

A 2-year qualification designed in partnership with the NHS, taking place across Carlisle/West Cumbria - equivalent to THREE A-Levels!

Overview

If you’d like to become part of the next generation of nurses and other NHS professionals, look no further than our T Level in Health (Nurse Cadet) programme!

Working in partnership with the NHS, the course has been designed to give students a wide range of hands-on experience to set them up for a professional career within their chosen medical field.

While studying the course you will partake in placements within the health sector, while learning theory in the classroom from our high-experienced expert tutors.

Course units include:

  • Understanding the healthcare sector
  • Providing person-centred care
  • Supporting health and wellbeing
  • Further knowledge of both human anatomy and physiology and diseases and disorders
  • Infection prevention and control

T Levels are a two-year course, which are equivalent to three A Levels.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade 4, to include English, Maths and Science. Applicants must also successfully complete a mandatory Assessment Day

What next?
Completing T Levels, could lead to studying for an Apprenticeship, Higher Apprenticeship, Higher Education and/or Degree Apprenticeship. This could be with Lakes College based on the existing (and growing) offer, or to another provider. Careers include: nurse, paramedic, midwife, mental health nurse, army medic, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, paediatric nurse, neonatal nurse.
