This course takes place one day a week for 17 weeks. It is designed for middle managers and those who want to develop as leaders. You will reflect on your own practice, as well as learning to develop and manage and lead your team effectively. Course units include assessing your own leadership capability and performance; leading innovation change; budgetary planning and control; managing communication; developing people in the workplace; and managing remote workers. The course aims to teach people how to become effective leaders who can lead change and develop staff while assessing their own leadership to develop.

Entry requirements

This course is designed for middle managers who have some line management responsibility and want to grow as a leader. Good written communication and the understanding that there will be 3 hours each week for homework and self study.
