Develop your practical skills with our Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery course at Lakes College. Suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience, this course will help you build confidence in working with timber and using the tools and techniques needed for a range of carpentry and joinery tasks.
Through hands-on learning, you’ll develop skills in measuring, setting out, estimating materials and creating joints. You’ll learn how to select suitable timber and board materials, use hand tools and power equipment safely, and fit finishing features such as skirting boards and architraves. With a focus on safe working practices and industry standards, the course will help you develop your accuracy and workmanship.
