About Us

Established in 1987. Risedale Estates Limited, operates care homes from our four sites within the Furness Peninsula having many different specialist units including: Behavioral Support, Complex Nursing Care and Enhanced Dementia Nursing Care. Our Mission is to provide high quality care for residents and families, placing the residents at the heart of all that we do.
      We provide a supportive place to work, and training and development is one of our key values within the company, having a range of training rooms well equipped to support our staff development. We currently have development opportunities ranging from Apprentice routes for 16–18-year-olds up to Registered Nurse Qualifications all being fully funded. In addition to this we have a functional skills teacher who supports staff in achieving Math’s and English if needed for further education and employment opportunities.

Our Work with Lakes College

As a Silver Key Partner in the Employer Pledge of Excellence, Risedale is proud to support initiatives that inspire learners and prepare them for meaningful careers in the health and social care industry. Their collaboration with Lakes College includes:

  • Provide a full training programme for health and social care roles, which is tailored to the individual and their level of experience
  • Provide a home from home environment to our residents, with students receiving training and mentoring on our shared values and culture within the home to maintain this ethos for the people we support
  • Offer work placements to Health and Social Care students

Through support of the placements and collaborative working, Risedale hope to share their knowledge and expertise in excellent care with students of Lakes College.

We’re keen to continue building our partnership with Lakes College, by developing new and innovative ways to support learners while facilitating the growth of the College and our own growth ambitions, which requires access to a talented and skilled future workforce.
