Our Work with Lakes College

We are proud to be a Platinum key partner in the Pledge of Excellence with Lakes College. Facilitating and preparing learners for a future in healthcare is of vital importance to our Trust. We support our learners through:

  • Providing multiple placements including a variety of learning environments and opportunities.
  • Offering a bespoke Trust induction catered towards understanding their responsibilities and their supervisors’ responsibilities during placement.
  • Facilitated feedback sessions to develop placement experience and enhance learning opportunities.
  • Regular pastoral support whilst on placement.

Why We’re Involved

Investing and developing our young learners is of significant value to our Trust. We offer a broad range of services, and it is important that young people are exposed to as many professions as possible. This allows them to maximise their potential and select the career pathway that suits them. Building a workforce for the future is vital in ensuring essential health services continue to function at a high level and provide expectational patient centred care.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to continue to build on our relationship with Lakes College. The Trust will be shortly expanding our T-Level placements into Allied Health Professionals offering further depth and quality of experience. The Trust also plans to offer themed practice days through our practice development and educator teams to equip learners with the skills required to succeed in healthcare. We are always looking at new ways to support learners and enhance their placement experience.
