Fairways is owned and run by a local family business since 2014 with several family members involved in the day to day running of the home. Living locally is an advantage to be near the site and available to respond quickly to the needs of the home.
Our aims are to provide care and support to our residents in a ‘home from home’ environment. We are fully committed to providing our services in a way that maintains individual choice, dignity and independence. Communication with compassion underpin our values to provide the best service possible.
Our Work with Lakes College
As a Silver Key Partner in the Employer Pledge of Excellence, Fairways is proud to support initiatives that inspire learners and prepare them for meaningful careers in the health and social care industry. Their collaboration with Lakes College includes:
- Provide a full training programme for health and social care roles, which is tailored to the individual and their level of experience
- Provide a home from home environment to our residents, with students receiving training and mentoring on our shared values and culture within the home to maintain this ethos for the people we support
- Offer work placements to Health and Social Care students
Through support of the placements and collaborative working, Fairways hope to coach and inspire the next generations of health and social care workers.
Looking Ahead
We’re keen to continue building our partnership with Lakes College, by developing new and innovative ways to support learners while facilitating the growth of the College and our own growth ambitions, which requires access to a talented and skilled future workforce.
