The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance. The purpose of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required to progress to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to further study in accountancy or finance. This qualification is a progression route for students who have achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. It's also suitable for those who have already started their journey studying a related subject and are looking to develop their skills in accounting, or for those who have already started working in finance and who have a need and desire to attain formal recognition of their skills. The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is suitable for adult students and career changes.

Entry requirements

To study this course learners will need to have achieve at least a Merit (80%+) overall for Level 2 unit assessments.

Learners will also need at least GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C) in English and maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths where GCSEs were not achieved.

Learners also need to carry out two short tests at course interview stage to demonstrate their skills and ability to study at AAT Level 3.

Funding may be available for 19-23 year olds. Also free to learners who are in receipt of JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) ESA (Employment Support Allowance, work related activity) or Universal Credit (mandated).
