Level 1 Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ)
Course Description
The Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ) is a free six-week course delivered one day a week in college.
It is ideal for people who want to either brush up or develop the digital skills they need for life, work or further study.
It has been designed to meet the content, conditions and requirements set out by the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofqual.
There will be five areas covered:
- Using devices and handling information
- Creating and editing
- Communicating
- Transacting
- Being safe and responsible online
When applying for this course, applicants will be required to complete a diagnostic to determine whether they start on the Level 1 EDSQ or an Entry 3 EDSQ.

Costs
This is a free, six week course. Actual Cost is: £300.00. All costs are subject to slight changes.
