Our T Level in Health, developed in partnership with the NHS, gives you the perfect mix of classroom learning and real-life experience to prepare you for a professional role in the health sector.

You’ll study fascinating topics like anatomy and physiology, diseases and disorders, infection prevention and control, and person-centred care. You’ll also take part in practical clinical skills workshops to build your confidence and get a taste of real healthcare environments. This two-year course is equivalent to three A Levels and combines theory with at least 315 hours of industry placement, where you’ll work alongside healthcare professionals and gain first-hand insight into what it’s like to support patients and deliver care.

It’s the ideal choice if you’re focused on a career in the health or medical field, offering a fantastic alternative to Sixth Form and a direct route into nursing, midwifery, or other healthcare professions.

Entry requirements

To study this course you must have five GCSEs Grade 4 or above including maths and English. Due to the course being in high demand, applicants will be invited to attend a Skills Development Centre to assess your skills for the course. Candidates who are unsuccessful after this stage will be invited to apply for another course in the health sector. Your place on the course will also be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

Costs

Free to those aged 16 to 18-years-old.

What next?

After completing a T Level you could go on to an apprenticeship, higher apprenticeship, Higher Education and/or degree apprenticeship, or have the skills to enter full-time employment in all branches of nursing from adult and mental health to learning disabilities and paediatric or midwifery.

Many of our former learners have progressed onto University and now studying health at degree level.
