This exciting two-year programme gives you the solid foundation you need to launch a career in any area of business — from management and marketing to HR and innovation.

Developed in collaboration with employers, this course is built to meet the real needs of industry and help you gain the skills businesses are looking for. You’ll explore how organisations operate across different sectors and dive into key topics such as project management, change management, marketing, human resources, innovation, and technology.

You’ll also discover why team building is so important, learn about roles and responsibilities, and understand the legislation that shapes how organisations run.

This qualification is equivalent to three A-Levels and combines classroom learning with valuable ‘on-the-job’ experience through an industry placement lasting a minimum of 315 hours over the course of your studies.

Entry requirements

To study this course you require 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English and maths. You do not need to have studied business before to study this course.

Costs

This course is free for students aged 16 or over but under 19 on 31 August 2026.

What next?

A T Level in Business will give you foundations to understand the knowledge, skills and behaviours to support you in pursuing a career in areas including human resources, project management, finance, marketing, business administration or any other business function.

Completing a T Level could lead to an apprenticeship, higher apprenticeship, higher education and/or degree apprenticeship.

This could be with Lakes College based on the existing (and growing) offer or to another provider.
