This course follows the Foundation tier of the AQA GCSE maths syllabus and allows you to achieve up to a Grade 5.
The main areas of study are number, ratio and proportion, algebra, geometry and statistics.
This course will be delivered on site, once a week on a Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm, with additional home learning of one to two hours per week.
You will also be assigned a personal project to work on independently, applying the skills and knowledge that you have been taught. There will be elements of flipped learning where you will be required to look up relevant topics before the lesson.
Progress checks will take place throughout the academic year in October, January and April.
You will complete three exams at the end of the academic year in May and June which will be externally assessed by the AQA exam board, with results released in August.
