Open Evening to showcase college's offering and facilities

LAKES College is set to welcome the public to its corridors and classrooms at its latest Open Evening.

The next Open Evening is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday, December 7) between 5pm and 7.30pm, showcasing everything the college has to offer and its multi-million-pound education and training facilities – including the Construction Skills Centre and National College for Nuclear.

The evening is an opportunity to learn about full-time and part-time courses, T Levels, apprenticeships and Higher Education, meet your future tutors and receive information, advice and guidance from expert advisors on career options.

The college’s new Apprenticeship Academy – designed to support you in securing an apprenticeship with a local employer starting September 2023 – will also be launched on the night with the chance to register interest in upcoming vacancies.

There will also be the chance to meet face-to-face with employers including: Morgan Sindall; Kier; Jacobs; TSP Engineering; North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust; Responsive; Cumbria County Council; Story Contracting; Balfour Beatty; McMenon Engineering Services; Bendalls Engineering; National Nuclear Laboratory and more.

Visitors do need to book to attend the event – simply turn up, explore the campus and discover your next opportunity.
