Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship

18 months, fully work-based

Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers.

Accounting apprenticeship

18 months, one day in college

An assistant accountant provides support to internal and external customers and will work predominantly either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Part of their role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition, the assistant accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.

Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship

One year

The Level 2 apprenticeship in customer service aims to build on good practice in any industry or to support their technical expertise in their job role, acknowledging the importance of effective communication and service delivery. Apprentices will be expected to deal with a range of customers face to face and will benefit from gaining knowledge, understanding and experience of dealing with both routine and more difficult customers, while building confidence in their use of communication.

IT Support Engineer apprenticeship

The Level 3 information communication technician apprenticeship will see apprentices expected to deliver a responsive, effective and customer-focused IT support service, support the IT network manager with upgrades, deployments and projects, and be a key part of the support staff.

The Level 3 human resources support apprenticeship will see apprentices expected to handle day-to-day queries and provide HR advice, work on processes from recruitment to retirement, keep records, provide relevant HR information to the business and work on HR changes.

CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resources Management (Apprentice Option)

This apprenticeship is adaptable for all HR specialisms and for those with people management responsibilities. Individuals in this role will use their HR expertise to provide and lead the delivery of HR solutions to businesses. This apprenticeship is primarily focused on individuals who are new to their role or progressing on their career journey through the organisation. This course provides the apprentice with the baseline knowledge to fulfil the HR consultant partner role through the delivery of the intermediate diploma in HR for one academic year. Building on this throughout the programme the apprentice will also work towards gaining work experience and competence in their specialist area through regular management meetings, assessor support and planned developmental activities such as work shadowing. They will build a portfolio of evidence of their competence through their apprenticeship which will support them with their end point assessment. The end point assessment consists of a professional discussion and work-based consultative report, both of which are externally assessed through an independent assessment organisation.

Safety, Health and Environment Technician apprenticeship

The Level 3 safety, health and environment technician apprenticeship will see apprentices expected to be partly office based and partly at the work front providing advice to others on how to work without harming themselves or others. The apprentice will work with the management and delivery team of the organisation to advise on the statutory health, safety and environmental requirements as they affect the company’s operations. They will assist the management team in ensuring that the legal and company SHE requirements are implemented.
