University Level Learning
We offer a high standard of teaching, our class sizes are often smaller than universities offering more contact time with lecturers, and a great mix of students, offering a great value for money.
PLEASE NOTE: Following Government advice, learning for Higher Education will switch to online only from Wednesday, December 9th 2020, until the Christmas break.
Course leaders will be in touch with those affected to provide more details.
The blended learning approach will continue after the Christmas break.
Our provision is quality checked by QAA, the same body that ensures teaching at universities reach the same high standard. Access the report here.
This year in the National Student Survey we came in the Top 100 best places to learn at university level. With subjects from Engineering to Teaching, Lakes College is a great place to either return to higher learning or make your next move after A Levels, Apprenticeship or other level 3 provision.
I decided to study the Foundation Degree in Business Management after completing the Level 3 last year. I chose to study Business as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in the future and I believed that business would cover a wide variety of topics and would give me a range of different skills. The best thing about the course is how I have developed throughout it. The first year helped me understand my own skills and learn what I am capable of and the second year has taught me how to use those skills and develop them further.
