Level 2 Diploma in Ladies & Gents Hairdressing
This course will provide you with the skills to prepare you for your first job in a salon. You will study a range or hairdressing techniques including client consultation, shampooing and conditioning hair and scalp, cutting and colouring men and women’s hair as well as dressing, perming and plaiting hair. We recommend that our students find some part time work within the industry so that they can put theory in to practice. As part of this course you will also have the opportunity to top up your maths and English skills if applicable for your studies.
4 GCSEs grade 9 - 3 (A* - D) or progression from the Level 1 hairdressing programme or significant industry experience.
Free to all 16-18 and 19-23 year olds who do not already have a full Level 2 qualification e.g. 5 GCSEs grade 9 to 4 (A* to C). Also free to learners who are in receipt of JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) ESA (Employment Support Allowance, work related activity) or Universal Credit (mandated). Where fees are payable you can set up a payment plan that best suits your needs Actual Cost is: £1672.00. All costs are subject to slight changes.
Once you have successfully completed the Level 2 course you could become a junior stylist or progress onto Level 3 Hairdressing course. This course could lead to a full time job within the hair industry.
