What’s it all about?
The scheme has a number of dimensions which include skill development courses (short courses 2-5 days), innovation project (10 week paid placement with local employer), help accessing STEM and FD programmes and help setting up your own business.
How does it work?
The graduate/professional attends an IAG session with me. During that we complete an action plan. Following this I will contact them with details of the courses that we are running and if they are interested details of innovation placements.
What’s the process, i.e. interview, start date?
Anytime, just contact us.
How long does it take?
The initial IAG session lasts approx 45 mins.
How many hours/days per week?
Short courses will be between 2 and 5 days. Innovation projects will be full time for 10 weeks.
How will it help me find a job?
We will provide you with business ready skills. Projects will allow them to have practical experience in the workplace.
How long are the placements?
Minimum of 10 weeks.
Is this available for any graduate, any age, any degree?
Sure is!
How much would I get paid?
The project pays at least minimum wage. It is up to the employer should they wish to pay more.
