Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Brickwork (Apprentice Option)

Course Duration  1 year
Career Prospects Bricklayers and masons erect and repair structures of stone, brick and similar materials and cut, shape and polish stone materials for building, ornamental and other purposes.

The entry level wage is £14k, rising to £28k plus if you own your own business.

Fast Facts The Apprenticeship is a programme of vocational education and training, whereby you will develop your skills whilst learning on the job, building up your knowledge and experience, gaining qualifications and earning money all at the same time.

Entry Requirements
  • 4 GCSEs at grade D or 3 GCSEs at grade D plus either Literacy or Numeracy Basic Skills assessment at Level 2
  • NVQ L2 in Bricklaying
  • Good attitude to learning
  • Enthusiasm for the occupational area
  • Willingness to achieve your goals
  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Employment in the construction industry
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic with a good attitude to work
What Next? GNVQ courses in Building at intermediate or advanced stages
