The Apprenticeship programme is a mix of real work and learning, combining valuable experience on the job with focussed and relevant training and follows a level 2 programme of training over 6-8 months. This programme covers many aspects of professional cleaning, from mechanised street cleaning to the maintenance of hard floors. There's more to cleaning than most people realise - cleaning staff can sometimes work at crime and accident scenes, or for the National Health Service ensuring cleanliness of hospital wards, waiting rooms and offices. Apprentice will learn a range of cleaning techniques and skills including health and safety, working effective with customers and others and communication skills.

Entry Requirements

Students must be in paid employment of at least 16 hours a week.

What Next?

Candidates may progress onto a higher level NVQ’s than they have currently undertaken, providing their current job role can generate relevant evidence. Successful candidates may consider some of our advice & guidance advance practitioner workshops or even the A1 Assessors Award.

There are also courses that could compliment the advice & guidance course such as mentoring or coaching qualifications.

Costs

Apprenticeships are Government Funded. However you will be expected to provide basic stationery items, i.e. folder/plastic wallets for storing your NVQ evidence.
