Quote

“When I was at school I loved the idea of being a nurse but it felt like it was unattainable for me. I didn’t think I was the academic type. I can reflect on it now and say the Access course absolutely got me ready with the level of writing and referencing skills required for university. The course was supported and flexible and I could still work and earn money while I was studying. Lakes also supported us with UCAS points and personal statements. I go to university now with three or four people who did the course and it has been really nice to be on that journey together from the start of Access.”
